We are thrilled to share that after years of advocacy, 988 Press 1, is now officially available nationwide for any veteran in the U.S. to contact during mental health, substance use, or suicide crisis. The 988 number is available for anyone with a suicide crisis. This is an incredible first step to ensure that individuals who experience a mental health crisis receive a mental health response. Please note: pressing “1” after dialing 988 is a DIRECT CONNECTION to the Veterans Crisis Hotline! |
